100th race for the Senior Brothers The season started with our 3rd DNF in 4 years at the Barrie Beehag Classic, due to a brain and equipment malfunction!. Cameron Clydesdale did the observing. At the Southern 80, we were finally "mowed down" by the younger competitors and faster boats. Our 4th place was our quickest ever Veterans time. The Presidents Invitational Dash was a milestone for Rodney & Colin Senior as we skied together for the 100th time behind our own boats (Kamikaze and Cigarette), and were again pleased with our 5th place. In 6 litre, we beat our previous best time by 50 seconds, 36:10, coming 2nd behind Mojo. At Robinvale, we placed 2nd in Veterans and 3rd in 6 litre. At Mildura in Veterans, the team received our first disqualification in 29 years of racing, after crossing the line 3rd; and in 6 litre, we came fifth. Overall results for 2010: No wins, two 2nds, one 3rd, one 4th, one 5th, one DNF, one disqualification. We had our regular driver, Phil "Ned" Kelly, and were pleased to have our regular observer, Phil Hickey, back in the observers seat for the season.

at the Barrie
Beehag Classic we finally finished the race, which resulted in a win
& a race record 27:32. At the Southern 80, we chose to sponsor the Greg Atkins Memorial trophy for the Veterans winner, and we were pleasantly surprised to win it. We were surprised with our 4th consecutive win in Veterans, and we were very pleased with our 4th place in the Presidents Invitational Dash. Due to a engine problem as we crossed the finish line during the Dash, we had withdrawn from Sunday's race, before the race was cancelled due to the Black Saturday bushfires. At Robinvale, we placed 3rd in both Veterans and 6 litre and at Mildura we placed 2nd in Veterans & we chose to pull out at the turn around point in 6 litre with some oil pressure problems! Overall results for 2009: 2 wins, one record, one 2nd, two 3rds, one 4th, one DNF. Mark Boyer & Shaun Williams shared the observing duties for the Southern 80, Robinvale & Mildura. Thank you, Allan, Mark & Shaun. Thank you also to our driver Phil "Ned" Kelly. Barrie

2008 3 WINS, 1 RACE RECORD The season started
with the Barrie Beehag Classic in Echuca in October. Our Southern 80 results were almost perfect, with a win and race record in the 6 litre short course race, followed by our 3rd consecutive win in Veterans, beating Body Count by 0.34 seconds. The main race on Sunday didn’t go according to plan, with a missed start and broken cav plate bolts resulting in a fifth place. At Robinvale,
we again placed 2nd behind Hazy in Veterans and scored our first ever
win (in Robinvale) in 6 litre with a time of 33 mins 37 secs We ended the season with 2 third placings at Mildura, with the boat pulling up well with no major injuries! Overall results for 2008: 3 wins, one record, one 2nd, two 3rds, one 5th, one DNF (and 3 red faces!). An interesting

2006 2 WINS IN VETERANS The season highlight was the consecutive wins in Veterans at the Southern 80 and Robinvale 80, including breaking the record, which was held by Agrovation since 1999. The goal
of beating turbo charged and supercharged boats with a 6 litre boat
was achieved, but aiming for a 3rd consecutive win at Mildura, The team
again completed all races with no DNFs. Despite the Mildura 100 failure,
the five races at the Southern 80 and Robinvale 80 were their quickest
ever results. RESULTS: Robinvale: Mildura

to Download an Application Form for the Team Kamikaze Club At the end of the 2002 Ski Race Season a decision was made to purchase a new boat for the 2003 season. A Bruce Everingham hull was purchased from Mark and Micheal Leonard (The boat was previously named "Tom Cat" which last raced in 1992 when it won Mildura 100 - 6 Litre inboard). With the usual maintenance required for every ski season the "new Kamikaze" was ready the usual couple of weeks before the Southern 80. After the usual teething problems we had the following results. Southern 80 Veterans - 4th 6 Litre - 3rd Robinvale 80 Veterans - 1st 6 Litre - 3rd Mildura 100 Veterans - 3rd 6 Litre - 1st |
