Rodney
Senior
Rodney Senior has been working in
the Steel & Building Industry for 28 years. He has worked with three
Shepparton businesses and has been employed in many positions ranging
from storeman, truck driver, office administration to Sales Manager.
Rod has a passion for ski racing and has been racing for over 25
years. He races his own ski race boat called "Kamikaze" and competes
in races such as the Southern 80. He went through a period from
1998 to 2002 where he got a little carried away with his fitness
campaign, competing in a variety of triathlon and ironman events,
and fun runs and rides, such as the Pier to Pub, Noosa Triathlon,
Murray to Moyne bike rides, Great Victorian Bike Ride, Round the
Bay in a Day bike rides, City to Surf runs, and his biggest achievement
of completing the 42km Melbourne
Marathon in 2001. He now concentrates on bike riding
for fitness for his ski racing, and he is proud of the fact that
his ski racing times are getting faster as he gets older!
Anne
O'Riley
Anne started working at Rodney Senior
Steel in 1998 and is the longest serving (or suffering) staff member.
Originally employed on a part-time basis to manage accounts, Anne's
duties have recently been expanded to include "anything that needs
to be done." When not working, Anne enjoys spending time with her
husband and two children, in and beside the Murray River at Bundalong.
Dale
Hunter
Dale completed a Small Business traineeship
with Rodney Senior Steel Services and began full time work in March
1998. He finished in 2001 when he began working full time for McPherson
Media. Dale still works for Senior Steel on a part-time basis with
technical support.
Darren Colbert
Darren commenced working at Senior
Steel in 2004. He is the warehouse foreman/delivery co-ordinator,
a tank installer, and also assists with garage door installations
and service calls. He is a keen golfer with a handicap of 9, and
enjoys a hit of cricket.
Gary Laffy
Gary works full time in sales. He
commenced at Senior Steel in February 2005, undertaking a business
traineeship, which he completed with "flying colours"
in August 2006. He lists fishing as an outside interest.
Karen Harris
Karen is the most recent addition
to Senior Steel, employed on a part-time basis, attending to administration
and keeping the boss happy! She also works part-time as a typesetter
at the Shepparton News. Her spare time is taken up with cleaning
ski racing goggles!
Zac Cooper
Zac is a recent school-leaver who
is completing a traineeship with SENIOR Steel. After completing
the traineeship he wants to go to university and complete a degree
in Arts/Law at LaTrobe University in Bendigo, which he is currently
deferring. Zac enjoys football, tennis, jogging and reading outside
of work. He has completed fun run events such as the Herald Sun/Citylink
Run for the Kids (2006,2007), the Puffing Billy Great Train Race
(2006), the Sweat vs Steam race (2006) and the Tocumwal Challenge
(2006, 2007).
